This position is located in Amonte, ON.

It would be necessary for the candidate to live within 1 hour travel time to Almonte, ON. Relocation assistance may be offered.

 We currently have a Permanent, Part-time position in our Emergency Department

Job Description

The Emergency RN will work in collaboration and interact will all members of the Emergency Department multidisciplinary team and other personnel to provide exemplary care to our patients and their families.  The successful incumbent will demonstrate professional responsibility, is accountable for own practice and exhibits the values of the organization and follows the Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics and ethical guidelines for behaviours as approved by the College of Nurses.

 Qualifications:

It is essential that the incumbent possess the following qualifications:

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses
  • Current BCLS, ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate required or must be obtained within six (6) months
  • BScN preferred
  • Emergency Nursing Certificate (ENC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) would be considered a definite asset
  • Minimum of one (1) year recent Emergency experience including triage. Consideration may be given to nurses who have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an acute care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possesses strong organizational and critical thinking skills
