Our Bolton location is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Manager.  We are looking for a dynamic individual capable of leading, mentoring and motivating staff while ensuring that customer service and store standards and legislative requirements are met on a daily basis. Job Duties:

  • Office Duties
    • Responsible for all incoming emails, responding in a timely manner, scheduling, training schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met, drafting documents of coaching, warnings and performance monitoring etc.
    • Ensuring all documentation is completed, distributed and filed
  • Customer Service
    • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer service while at the same time leading by example and setting the gold standard in which staff can then emulate and follow.
  • Sales Performance
    • Responsible for ensuring sales/margin targets are met
    • Arranging sales initiatives to drive sales (in-store & clearance sales)
    • Be in tune with local trends/promotions/products to ensure we remain competitive
    • Review daily reports
  • Health & Safety
    • Create and Maintain a safe working environment promoting safe work practices and ensuring those practices and policies are followed
    • Train staff and ensure that staff only use equipment that they are trained for
    • Daily Sweeps and hazard recognition to ensure employee and customer safety
  • Training and Retraining
    • On the job trainer in the store as a mentor/advisor
    • Attend training seminars for product knowledge and safety standards
  • Ongoing Performance Management
    • Coach, counsel, and discipline all employees using proper techniques and documentation with assistance of Office Manager and/or H/R department

Requirements:

  • 1 year of previous Management experience and 1-3 years of retail experience
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Proficient keyboarding/typing skills

Hours of work:

  • Various Hours: Opening and closing shifts including alternating weekends
