Maintenance Millwright

We are a manufacturing facility that cleans and/or coats metal parts looking for a certified millwright or 4th year apprentice

Located on Struck Court in Cambridge, Ontario.

Duties Include:

  • Investigate mechanical and electrical issues and create corrective action plans
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment
  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to plans, using hand and power tools, hoisting and rigging
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other equipment
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts as required
  • Use hand and power tools and welding equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and documentation
  • Ensure minimal down-time of equipment
  • Ensure machine efficiencies
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations

 

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Millwright license
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a related position
  • Solid trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and schedule work effectively with a production team in a fast paced and values driven environment
  • Strong organization and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
