QC Inspector with CMM experience

Responsibilities

• Carry out CMM Inspection and Manual Inspection of complex machined parts used in the Aerospace and Nuclear industries.
• Operation of a CMM and the completion of advanced manual inspections with a wide variety of tooling and gauging (Micrometres, calipers, shadow graphs, mold impressions, digital height gauges etc.).
• Work from complicated drawings, sketches, operation sheets and specifications, using standard methods and procedures to perform conventional and CMM inspection.
• Follow established procedures to inspect parts in accordance with customer and source inspector requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports of findings, indicating acceptable items, variant parts requiring corrective work, or unacceptable items requiring Quality Review action.
• Visually inspect parts and assemblies to ensure conformance with specifications. 

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience inspecting machined parts with tight tolerances
• Grade 12 minimum, prefer post secondary certificate in a related field
• On the job training certification an asset
• Good knowledge of Shop Math
• Strong PC-DMIS CMM experience an asset
• High level of knowledge of GD&T
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Ability to select tools, read blueprints, specifications, manuals and work procedures
• Able to work a flexible schedule
