Electrical Technician

Overview:
Regularly inspect power generation and distribution systems for safe operations and required maintenance and repairs, Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and/or electrical system issues of assigned equipment, including electrical controls (both programmable and non-programmable) and switchgears, and carry out necessary.
Responsible for:
- Electrical repairs and maintenance on all facility equipment
- Troubleshooting and repair of processing equipment such as PLC
- Electrical installations and upgrades to processing and facility equipment
- Design and construction of electrical control systems for industrial applications
- Assist in planning the installation and removal of equipment and performs start-up and run-in commissioning process and shutdown activities for the plant facility.
- Responsible for maintenance and repairs of all electrical processes, as well as Electrical and Infra-red Inspections, Blower Room, Electrical Transformers and PLC and assist mechanic on mechanical process, as pneumatic and hydraulic controls
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
- Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
Requirements:
- Possess a valid Electrical License (Red Seal)
- 5+ years’ experience in the electrical trade
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong electrical industrial knowledge application
- Experience with industrial machinery
- Experience with conventional motor controls
- Strong working knowledge of, PLC, Servo, HMI etc..
- Strong computer skills
- High school diploma/GED required
- Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
