Location: This position is based out of the Barrie/Muskoka region

This is a key sales role, located in Ontario’s beautiful cottage country. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and implementing the Golf Membership Sales programs across all Freed Hotels & Resorts properties located in the Barrie, Muskoka and Huntsville communities. While embracing the concept of “Buy at One, Play at All”, as Director of Membership Sales you will not only lead the build the golf membership programs, but your primary objective will be generating new leaders and prospective members to the Resort properties. Working collaboratively with the Resort leaders the Director, Golf Membership Sales will ensure appropriate marketing strategies, sales targets and high-quality customer relationships are being delivered in every interaction across all Freed Hotels & Resorts communities.  This position offers an exciting opportunity to help contribute and transform the Freed Hotels & Resorts golf membership offering and experiences across the entire Resort portfolio.

As Director, Golf Membership Sales you will:

  • Work strategically in the design and implementation of customized golf membership programs for new and existing members across the Freed Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive offers and potential opportunities.
  • Conduct informative and influential presentations to potential members, showcasing the benefits and features of our golf memberships.
  • Generate new leads through networking, referrals and community groups.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing the membership deal.
  • Utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) system to track leads, interactions, and sales progress.
  • Develop and achieve sales targets and goals as set by Leadership.
  • Foster strong relationships with existing members to encourage renewals and upselling of additional services.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to prospective customers while working with the Resort Leaders to answer any questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Resort Marketing teams and GM’s to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote golf memberships.
  • Operate within company standards in the areas of customer service, productivity, quality standards and operating procedures.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses in Freed Hotel & Resort communities to attract members.


 Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

  • 3-4 years of proven experience in a senior sales role, preferably in the golf or hospitality industry.
  • Degree/Diploma from an accredited university/college in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related major.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self starter and highly motivated.
  • Flexible schedule, available to participate in local community activities in the evenings and weekends.
