Position Summary
The Grounds Crew will be responsible for maintaining the Resort grounds to ensure they are safe, clean and presentable to the guests and employees. The Grounds Crew will perform all outdoor maintenance including landscaping, property clean-up, snow removal and outdoor property enhancements.

Operate snow plow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and sidewalks during winter weather conditions

Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient snow removal- Monitor weather conditions and respond accordingly to changing snowfall levels

Performing landscape maintenance duties, such as snow removal, clearing lots, mowing, fertilizer applications, weed control, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, etc

Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but no limited to bed edger’s, commercial mowers, blowers, trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers, etc

Responsible for debris and garbage from patios, emergency exits and parking lots

Address guest questions, comments and concerns

Minor equipment repairs such as sharpening blades

Ensure you are working in conjunction with Health & Safety protocols and practices, and report any damages to equipment or injuries of staff to appropriate Manager immediately

Energetic, outgoing with a positive attitude, driven to deliver elevated guest experiences

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as excellent problem-solving abilities

Respond to special guest requests with a sense of urgency in a friendly and efficient manner

Guest-centric health & safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment

Mechanical knowledge: Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on snow plow equipment

Ability to maintain and operate various types of snow plow equipment
-
Able to work days, weekends, early morning, evenings and holidays

Two years’ experience in this or related field is an asset

Willingness to work occasional overtime

Must be comfortable working independently

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
