Position Summary
As Turf Maintenance, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our golf course. Working closely with the Golf Course Maintenance Manager and maintenance team, you will perform a variety of tasks to ensure the course is in pristine condition for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mow, edge, and maintain turf on greens, fairways, tees, and rough areas using specialized equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Assist in the installation, operation, and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system.
- Monitor irrigation schedules, adjust sprinkler heads, and perform repairs to ensure proper watering of turf and landscape
- Rake and maintain sand bunkers, ensuring consistent depth and smooth surfaces for play.
- Repair bunker edges, remove debris, and replenish sand as needed to maintain aesthetic appeal and playability
- Plant, water, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape features around the golf course.
- Prune trees and shrubs, remove invasive vegetation, and perform general landscaping duties to enhance the visual appeal of the course
- Operate and maintain various golf course maintenance equipment, including tractors, utility vehicles, and hand tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks, perform minor repairs, and ensure equipment is clean and properly stored after use
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
- Knowledge of turfgrass management practices, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards of course presentation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks requiring bending, lifting, and carrying.
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
