Roles & Responsibilities:

Play an important role in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. Mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, communication and a positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of this role!

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain, and upgrade
• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
• Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorist on good vehicle use
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
• Communicate with the supervisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary changes, new parts needed, or any other concerns related to repair or maintenance work on vehicles

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Certified Mechanic License
• Safety certifications are an asset (First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, etc)
• Minimum 3 years experience working in a mechanic shop
• Valid drivers license
• Experience Completing service records accurately and on time
• Understands the importance of customer service
