About the role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meditech Expanse Training Lead to oversee the planning, development,

and delivery of training programs related to the Meditech Expanse Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The ideal

candidate will have in‑depth knowledge of clinical systems, a strong background in healthcare IT training, and proven

leadership skills. In this role, you will collaborate with clinical, technical, and operational teams to ensure that

end‑users are proficient and confident in using the Meditech Expanse system

 

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

  • Must be a regulated health professional in good standing (e.g., RN, RPN, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist,

    Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Respiratory Therapist, Medical Radiation Technologist, Social Worker,

    Dietitian, etc.).

  • Current registration with the relevant regulatory college.

     

  • Consideration will be given to candidates with degrees/certifications in a relevant related field‑ e.g., Health

    Information Management / Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Education, or

    similar.

  •  Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MN or relevant graduate degree) preferred.

     

  • Recent clinical experience and experience using current systems is preferred.

     

  • 3‑5 years experience in education/training, clinical system implementation related roles.

     

  • Demonstrated experience (or familiarity) with MEDITECH Expanse ‑ or other EHR/clinical information systems ‑

    preferred.

     

  • Experience designing curriculum for adult learners; familiarity with instructional design, e‑learning tools, and

    training evaluation methodologies.

     

  • Strong project management skills; ability to coordinate training across multiple departments and schedules.

     

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical users.

     

  • Strong interpersonal and advanced leadership skills; ability to build relationships with clinical staff and lead

    "train‑the‑trainer" initiatives.

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and eLearning platforms.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues in training environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

 

Assets:

  • Meditech Expanse certification or other EHR‑related certifications are an asset
