Journeyperson Residential Electrician

Responsibilities Include:

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations
• Install, examine, demolish, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Perform terminations, splicing, and joining of electrical connections as per specification and code
• Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
• Assist with maintaining, repairing, installing and testing switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters
• Test, troubleshoot, maintain and repair, electrical and low voltage control systems and other related devices
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor
• Organize and maintain required material
• Ensure that all work areas are clean and well maintained before, throughout and after completion of job
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Alberta Electrician
• OR currently registered as a Trade Apprentice
• 2+ years of residential experience required
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
• Great communication skills with peers and customers
• Organized & able to work alone (self starter)
• Possess all necessary hand tools for day to day tasks
• Cordless kit complete with drills and reciprocating saw
• Own transportation

Our professionals handle a large variety of maintenance issues such as lighting, fire alarm, electrical circuit issues. We are happy to help with a job as small as a light install, up to full commercial building repairs, retrofits and new installs.
