Northern Energy - located in Kenora, Ontario (Lake of the Woods) - is expanding our mechanical team and hiring for the position of HVAC Technician/Plumber/Gas Fitter/Sheet Metal Worker or Apprentice. We are a growing contracting firm seeking out highly skilled, motivated individuals to join us during our expansion and looking for a candidate with experience in the commercial, industrial & residential sectors. Our team consists of electrical, HVAC & plumbing professionals who provide service in/around Kenora and throughout the northwestern Ontario region.
Job Duties
Our HVAC Technicians are responsible for the following:
- Installation of HVAC systems
- Preventive maintenance of the above systems (equipment & accessories)
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting & repairing damaged and/or dysfunctional HVAC systems
- Responding to urgent/emergent service requests as needed
- Install and connect boilers and furnaces to natural gas and propane systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for plumbing installations.

Qualifications
- Drivers Licence (required)
- Plumbing Certification (preferred) or
- Sheet Metal Worker Certification (preferred) or
- Gas Technician (TSSA) Certification G2/G3(preferred)
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in plumbing and HVAC installations
- Understanding of mechanical concepts related to plumbing and HVAC systems
