We are currently seeking experienced Fire Watch Attendants to support our production teams and help maintain a safe working environment throughout our shipyard and manufacturing facilities.
About the Role
The Fire Watch Attendant plays a critical role in supporting hot work activities, maintaining safe work areas, and ensuring compliance with company safety procedures during yacht construction and refit projects.
This is a full-time, year-round position offering stable, long-term employment in an indoor production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor hot work activities including welding, cutting, and grinding operations
- Maintain a safe work environment and identify potential fire hazards
- Conduct regular inspections of surrounding work areas during and after hot work activities
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Communicate effectively with tradespeople, supervisors, and project teams
Qualifications
- Previous Fire Watch experience
- Strong understanding of construction or industrial safety practices
- Ability to remain attentive and focused for extended periods
- Safety-oriented
- Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment
- Occupational First Aid certification and Confined Space Entry certification an asset.
- Experience supporting welding or other hot work operations an asset.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and monitor areas for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry firefighting equipment as required
- Comfortable working in industrial environments, including confined or elevated spaces
Work Environment
- Shop and shipyard environments
- Exposure to noise, heat, dust, and mechanical hazards
- Overtime or shift work may be required based on operational needs
