Job Position

Class 3 Roll-Off Driver, Full-Time, Permanent

As as Roll-Off Driver, you will safely operate roll-off trucks to deliver, exchange, and remove bins at residential, commercial, and construction sites throughout South Vancouver Island. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to safety, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Wage/Schedule

  • Starting at $31 per hour, flexible based on experience 
  • Full time 40-45 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate roll-off trucks and equipment in accordance with company policies and transportation regulations.
  • Complete daily routes, including bin deliveries, exchanges, and removals.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance concerns.
  • Ensure loads are secured and transported safely.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Document site issues, incidents, hazards, and customer concerns as required.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel logs, and required records.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and BC transportation regulations.

 

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 3 driver's licence. Manual transmission licensing and training are an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial Class 3 driving experience.
  • Clean driver's abstract.
  • Experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy equipment is considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely in accordance with ergonomic standards
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to vehicle operation, load securement, and hazardous materials handling is a plus
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for extended periods of driving and manual handling tasks

  • On the road 
  • South Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands
