Executive Assistant to the President & CEO and the Board of Directors

The Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital and the Grove long-term care home are located in the Town of Arnprior, less than 30 minutes northwest of Ottawa. There are approximately 400 staff, 200 volunteers, and a growing number of medical staff providing exemplary care to over 30,000 residents of West Ottawa, McNab/Braeside, Arnprior and portions of Mississippi Mills. A significant redevelopment project is currently underway for our Grove long-term care home, increasing from 60 to 96 beds to better support our community.

We currently have an opportunity for a Full Time Executive Assistant to the President & CEO and the Board of Directors. Reporting to President & CEO, the Executive Assistant provides executive, administrative and governance support to the President & CEO and the Board of Directors and maintains the physician credentialing process for the hospital. In this role, the Executive Assistant will exercise good judgment, demonstrate tact and diplomacy and maintain strict confidentiality. The ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders is essential for success

Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in business administration, office administration or equivalent

Minimum of 5 years executive level administrative experience, preferably in a health care setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Proven ability to work independently, exercise initiative and manage competing priorities

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, volunteers and external stakeholders

Demonstrated experience working with Boards, taking minutes and managing all facets of Board governance

Experience with the physician credentialing process an asset

Salary range: $ 53,747.66 – 60,148.53 (2021 rates)
