Human Resources Assistant / Part Time

Our Hospital and Long Term Care Home are located in the Town of Arnprior, less than 30 minutes northwest of Ottawa. 

There are approximately 400 staff, 200 volunteers, and a growing number of medical staff providing exemplary care to over 30,000 residents of West Ottawa, McNab/Braeside, Arnprior and portions of Mississippi Mills.

 A significant redevelopment project is currently underway for our long-term care home, increasing from 60 to 96 beds to better support our community.

 

We currently have an opportunity for a part-time Human Resources Assistant. Reporting to Vice President of People & Community Programs, this position will provide a range of administrative and HR duties to support the functions of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, labour/employee relations, payroll and benefits and occupational health and safety.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about Human Resources and committed to providing client-focused support to both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in human resources business administration, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-year experience supporting human resources functions, preferably in a healthcare setting  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Sound organizational skills to gather data, maintain records, manage files, complete reports
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Experience with and knowledge of HRIS and databases, to enter data and run reports
  • CHRP designation/or in progress, is preferred

Salary range: $ 23.62 – $ 26.43 per hour (2021 rates)
